Home improvements books recalled.

So let me guess, you like to go to the home improvement store when you're considering do some remodeling and are certian you can save a boatload of money by picking up a few books to "guide you through" the things you don't really understand. The shelves are lined with "do it yourself" books from decks to gardens, plumbing & electrical and all things in between.

You can get the series written by the home improvement store you're visiting or you can get the series written by whomever. You get your new books, you go home and study them, purchase all the material and two months later, just when you think you are all "electriciany" it happens. Your new pair of linesmans are catapulted across the room because the circuit wasn't completely de-energized.

You did everything that the "manual" told you to do, you re-trace your steps and are certian you did EVERYTHING. Chances are you did do everything, what you didn't know was that the publisher recalled the entire series of home improvement books and home wiring guides because the book contained errors in the technical diagrams and wiring instructions that could lead consumers to incorrectly install or repair electrical wiring.

Please visit the following link to see if you may own any of the books that have been recalled.

Home Improvement Books Recalled by Oxmoor House Due to Faulty Wiring Instructions; Shock or Fire Hazard to Consumers

If you own any of these manuals, please be sure to follow the instructions for reimbursement of your purchase.

Please remember, you may save some money in labor by doing it yourself, but at what cost? Licensed Electricians & Plumbers have licenses for a reason. It's a dangerous hobby for the homeowner.
